Hi AAA,
It depends on what you want in the future. If you want to go back to China and to be hired by a good international company, I will say go to Minnesota, because it can give you more prestige to step into the door. ( That is what I see the value of a prestige school.) But if you want to stay in US and start something new by yourself or want to be hired by a regular company to start with and move your way up, then you should choose DDD because a NBA is a NBA. Besides that full scholarship can help you to obtain the visa which also very important.
If you don't like the school, when you get more familiam with the school system in US, you can always drop it and change to Minnesota. Let them know because the financial difficulties that you have to give up the school of your dream and to see if they can help you with other resource ( You may even do it now when you decide to turn down the school)
I understand it is a tough decision but you have to see what is your strength and weakness. A good school is also means high pressure. If you expected to find job to make up the tuition, it can be very difficult. Even you can find one, you may not do it legally or may not have time to do it, because English is you second language and US is very different culture from yourse.
That is just my personal opinion, and you have to make you mind based on what you want for your future.
Dear BBB,
I greatly appreciate your experience and helpful advices. Based your information, I will try to accustom myself to the cold weather.
Regarding the financial aids, laceType w:st="on">Univ.laceType> of laceName w:st="on">MinnesotalaceName>, placing 21st, has awarded me a 1/2 tuition waiver scholarship while CCC, placing 23rd, only 3500USD. So the former will be better.
Additionally, other Universities, such as laceName w:st="on">DDDlaceName> laceType w:st="on">UniversitylaceType>, which places 90th in US News MBA ranking and locates at EEE, have awarded me a full-tuition waiver scholarship with month stipend.
Although I hear that it is very tough for international students to pursue a job at such tie 3 or tie 4 B-schools, however, full-tuition waiver scholarship may be very helpful for my application for US visa. Is this true? What is your opinion about the choice between high ranking and full-tuition waiver scholarship, such as between laceType w:st="on">Univ.laceType> of Minnesota and DDD Univ.?
Thank you once again.
