1. 可以看出逗号后面的句子没有谓语而前面又是个完整的句子，所以只能选its，后面的那一句做前面rock的同位语，起补充说明作用。

我认为答案应该是C，该题的结构是：完整的句子，补充成分。a中and表明前后要并列，所以后面应该是有谓语的。b，since后面要加完整的句子。d错在两个句子间用了,而没有用连接词。
