CPA/CFA is dime a dozen within the Big 4 (so are accountants). 12-14 hours is about the norm within the audit function at any of the four firms. You might hit 18 hours when PE clients are screaming for that financial due diligence report, but that's not going to be the case day in day out. Don't the bankers and M/B/B folks go through that too? Just about every Chinese at Booth have the CFA. If your other six languages are as good as your English, then you have impressed no one. I spent part of my early days in Europe and we got exposed to just as many. The top law schools on average accept those with 170 LSAT and 3.8 GPA.The top b-schools on average accept those with 720 GMAT and 3.5 GPA. WeChinese on average need to top those stats to get in. The point is that there are so many talented Chinese students who graduated at the top of their class , with 750 GMAT, but don't have the opportunity to study at this program because some college essay consultant knows how to woo the admission officer with that fancy Why MBA BS (I bet your your Harvard JD/MBA brother and cousin showed you the ropes). -- by 会员 yearoftiger (2010/5/21 3:40:57)
