答案是D。我选的是E。不是很明白 severance packages和collect在这段话中是什么意思，没有看懂。

第一题我觉得c选项后面是时态的问题，the Federal Reserve has raised its short-term interest rate target five times，because the economy continues strong, analysts predicted for weeks that the target would
前面一个句子说的是一个一直到现在都在进行的事情，而后面分析者们预测却用了过去的时态 矛盾。另外because of 后面是可以用简单的名词结构的 （好像一般使用because比较多），这个题还是比较有迷惑性 学习了

最后一个题 如果用 they are....they只能只带前面的 workers 故而成了 workers are scheduled to collected 不符合逻辑

第三题 c中heavily修饰的之后的名词 故而不对，d中貌似and之前是不是不能有逗号啊，不过我也选的d。

第二题，我看到有解释说 是因为
可以说XX highway was the greatest ...，但不能说 the greatest ... was XX highway。

待确认。

第三题还是不怎么明白。。汗~~~heavily修饰的不是barbed么？那个是形容词啊~~~

第二题的那个解释。。呃~同样待确认~


第四题的话。。还是不明白- -~这个collect是什么意思。。我没有能够想明白的解释啊= =~这里面出现的这么多的their...they..都是指哪些呢。。~+_+

解答：since标志时态为现在完成时，and连接两个句子，第一个句子用的是has raised，验证了现在完成时，第二个句子也理应如此，遵循句子提示的事态，即现在完成时，更何况还有and连接，提示平行。

解答：B中的extended你认为是和over....length一起修饰Incan highway的，对吧？但是这样的话and之前那个逗号不久多余了吗？那为什么会有一个逗号呢？是因为extended其实是作为the greatest road system的谓语，与was the Incan highway平行，作为一个主语发出的两个动作。这样当然是不对的了。
E中extending修饰Incan highway，用伴随状语extending作为伴随状语可以表示事物本来的属性。用在这里再合适不过了。
其中事物本身属性通过伴随状语表达的例子有：

解答：C 中 results in 的主语为一个物体，即stinger, 说不通，应该是stinger做了个什么才results in了什么。举例说明：the meteorites, collided with earth, resulted in the distinction of dinausors.错，meteorites本身不会result in 什么，而应该是meteorites做了件什么事情才会result in。改正：the collision between the meteorites and earth resulted in the distinction of dinausors. 即使collision这个动作，而非meteorites这个物体本身导致了恐龙的灭亡。
