MBA让你成为更好的CEO.....Or Not?

钱德勒同学也开贴啦.....无论如何支持一把

可能我这么说会很极端,但是我觉得,如果真的发展很好的人是不会考虑读MBA的,不管你是否承认,你动这个念头,尤其还想折腾去国外读的,尤其还是一把年纪的,基本上,都是对现状不满意的但是又拼命想改变的人.

所以是不是LOSER,我不确定,但是至少,在决定读书的时候还不是真正的成功者.

偶像同学，对现状不满意是一个人成功应具备的基本素质，求变是必须的，只不过有些人选择求变是去读书深造，有些选择转型新的职业领域，有的人开始使用新的生产技术，有的人开始尝试新发型，有些人选择改变自己的某方面的取向（直的变弯的或弯的变直的）~~

当年明月在《明朝那些事儿》最后是这么结尾的：
是的，这就是我想说的，这就是我想通过徐霞客所表达的，足以藐视所有王侯将相，最完美的结束语： 成功只有一个——按照自己的方式，去度过人生。

在这个意义上，我觉得大本就挺成功的。

对于绝大多数的人来说，去读MBA都是因为目前的发展出现了瓶颈。

帮顶～是loser恐怕太极端了吧，不过只是想更好一点。不过怎样更好也有很多选择，MBA只是其中之一

这篇INSEAD Study的对象是CEO。自然排除了非CEO，或是不想成为CEO的群体。

其实它说了一个很简单的道理：如果只是以创业，或是以成为公司CEO为目标而去读MBA，应该重新考虑这个教育给你带来的价值。MBA虽然不是必需品，它能把你“从无到有”拔高到professional manager【高级打工仔】的位置。但是剩下的还得靠自己。

BW那篇文章最可笑的一点是：Those who choose to do an MBA, the readers said, are opting to improve themselves. Their openness to ideas and willingness to learn is going to benefit them all the way to the top—and long after they arrive in the executive suite. 难道不读MBA就没有这点特质。。。。?

其实MBA只是一个职业培训，无需看得太重。Henry Mintzberg有本书《Managers Not MBAs》可以参考。

MBA跟CEO或者更大的目标------人生的成功之间没有必然联系。围绕这些东西的讨论都是无聊的。

i think most of the CEOs probably graduated from college 30-40 years ago. The value of an MBA at their times was not as pronounced as it is now. To me I don't see how much valuable info can we draw from this study. It is somewhat like 刻舟求剑.
It's like saying we don't need a college degree because many of the rich people in China now do not have a college degree.

We are in a different era now. Much of what is taught in B-school nowadays are discoveries in recent years. Take finance for example, the derivatives market started to take shape only in 1980s after BlackScholes and Binomial tree in the 70s..  Business issues are becoming more complex. Our understanding of organizational behavior, human psychology, finance and capital markets and many many other aspects of business are on a unprecedented high level, unlike 30-40 years ago.
The MBA degree offers a platform where all these advanced knowledge can be systematically inculcated. With our knowledge continue to advance in such areas, an MBA could only become more and more valuable.
