想问一下，C中的and前面的逗号能不能省略，不是同一主语并列时最好不加嘛，还是因为后面if的句子是插入语的缘故？
还有but 后面的it是否能够省略？显然指代的是hognose snake，还是因为和原句主语太远所以用it补出避免歧义？

and前的那个逗号不能省略，but那句话可以作为插入语，主要是对前面一段进行一个小转折。
but后面的it不能省略，因为前面有一堆ing的并列，but后需要一个完整的主谓句子。

你是认为but那句作为插入语？那后面will fall over and play dead就是和puts 并列了？我怎么觉得if那句是插入语呢？

粉色部分是什么道理？补出it都可能在什么情况下发生？

and绝对不能省略，因为前面有两个完整句子中间由连词BUT相隔开，而eventually是个副词，后面是个IF引导的完整句子，所以在eventually之前必须加一个连词and来连接前后两个句子。就如同gmat经常考的and then这个考点一样，then是副词，不能引导句子，所以前面必须加and来连接连个完整句子。

it也不能随便省略，你注意到没有最后一句话will fall over and play dead没有主语的，他其实指代的就是it也是就是hognose snake。如果把it去掉了，虽然but这一句没有什么问题我们可以认为是hognose snake，但是我们却不知道will fall over and play dead的主语是谁，因为离hognose snake这个主语实在太远了。

那还有一个问题：请问你见过and后加it后面却没有出现如本题——“最后一句话will fall over and play dead没有主语的”的情况吗？

我知道and不能省略，不过前面如果把逗号删了是否会歧义呢？
还有那个it，如果单纯并列两个句子时，相同主语必须省略掉吧~？
