Optional Essay help!

The only thing i need to explain in the essay is that i did not get a reference letter from current employer.   I can explain it in one sentence.  Does it make my optional essay awkward? Thank you very much!

By the way, what is a good way to explain no reference letter from current employer?

of course a good way. however it's on ur own discretion that whether an explanation can sufficiently explain your situation without adverse effect

如果就这么一条，原则上我认为可以不写，除非你选的两个推荐人都太另类。但要注意，有几所学校要求你必须解释为什么没有选current manager；这种情况下如果你不解释明显就是research不仔细。也有学校让你把解释放在application form里的，这种情况下再解释就是重复，也是research不仔细
