public school sucks... imagine more than 60 students in a classroom... UTD is more like a commuter school. It is ambitious, Dean said that hopefully UTD is the next tire one school in Texas, and it may be the only school that building facilities under current condition, It is supported by the state gov, but still have a long way to go... For Accounting major, Chinese student can find a job if he or she doesn't mind about the salary and endless overtime. Usually, $2400 a month after tax,probably 4000 if you got AICPA, generally the employers are local Chinese accouting firms, mainly in taxation. It is almost impossible for Chinese students go to big firms like big four. Some of my friends got hired in the industry in Houston, but that was back in 2007, before the Cirisis. Doing accounting for Chinese student in the U.S. is not very promising for now. Yes, it is stable, but you can see where u end-up from the first day of your work. 不知道你在哪个地方读书，但是你显然不在dallas。如果after tax后，你能拿到 2400的工资，你在达拉斯的日子不要太爽。
首先，single apartment的房租大概在500刀左右，视社区好坏而定。加上Cable+Internet+水费+电费，基本上700块可以搞定房租+utilities。
吃饭的开销，撑死300块。买个二手车，养车的费用每个月大概也就150吧。
达拉斯是一个很适合居住养老生活的城市。年薪就算只有4万美元，完全也可以过着很好的单身生活。（我是指单身生活，如果你家有大有小，那就要努力赚钱啦。） |
