2 questions:

1) in C: the only eyewitness account 缺了 "of what?" 我查了字典, 當account 有report的意思時最好接of 什麼東東. 而我的問題是:在OG裡這式否式固定用法呢? OG的偏好是否就是看到account多半都要加of what呢?

2) E--In two letters to the historian Tacitus, the nephew of Pliny the Elder wrothe the only eyewitness account of the great eruption of Vesuvius

介詞短語放前面以防歧意我了解, 但我怎麼總覺得句子常唸起來像是 the nephew of P the Elder 是 in two letters to the historian Tacitus 呢? 到底是哪裡被卡住了啊我?

In two letters介宾短语做状语，to the historian Tacitus介宾短语做定语修饰letters并不会出现大家讨论的：To him,I wrote a letter last year.的问题。

12楼MM不能那样理解，要不然我们如何理解下面的例子：

In 1977,she was born.

总不能理解为：她在1977年吧；状语本来就是修饰谓语的，怎么可以跟主语扯上关系。

感觉ETS给的a错的解释很难理解啊！他还不如说a里面的two letters有两个字母的嫌疑呢！

感觉大家对于ets对A的解释感觉比较牵强。我也是很难理解。

只要智力没有缺陷的人就不会认为eruption发生在letter里呀！这怎么会产生歧义呢？

那请问有什么好的方法能将A排除？用逻辑意思来排除是最难的！

还有一个问题，一直没看懂：the nephew of Pliny the Elder 是什么意思？

到底ets对歧义的标准是什么？在作题中什么时候用歧义排除，什么时候不能？

总感觉有时候你认为没有歧义（如上题），他说有，你认为有歧义（人是文化的一部分那题）他说没有，郁闷！
