关于by和through的区别，大家请进来讨论

这一题只是为了引出by和through这个知识点，by和through是不是完全可以互相替换呢？还是一个侧重于方法，一个侧重于工具？

这个考点讨论了也没什么价值吧.. 不可能出两个选项只有by和through的区别.

个人意见：
1. 那该缺失介词翻译成“通过...”更好时，应该用through，翻译成“凭...，借助...，(使)用...”更好时则应该用by.
如：
She got her first job through an employment agency. 她通过招聘机构找到了第一份工作。
a success that was achieved through co-operative effort and wise leadership 通过合作努力和英明的领导
I heard about it through a friend. 通过一个朋友得知。
You can reserve the tickets by phone. 你可以用电话来订票。
He was taken from his home by force. 他被用武力带出家里。
My house is heated by/with gas. 用天然气保暖.
I'll pay you by check. 用支票付账
2. 当感觉即可以翻译成“通过...”，也可以翻译成凭借...，(使)用...”，则用两个都可以：
She earns her living by/through selling insurance.
本题by和through都可以。
3. 当翻译过来两者都可以时，要注意by修饰的是实义动词，因为描述的是某个行为的方式、手段，因此如果前面是系动词，就需要用on/with这些介词来代替。
The tickets are available through/on the Internet (or just on-line). 介词部分既可以用“通过网上订票”也可以以“用/在网络上订票”来翻译，但by修饰实义动词，所以应该用on代替，或者用through。

其实就算这道题不用by,though也可以选择。但是我们弄清楚了我们不懂的，至少在这个知识点上我们的英语能力就提高了一点点。这一点点说不定可以在作文，和以后的学习生活中用到呢~

呵呵，我有个帖子也是问by的用法呢~ 现在变成了by， through，because of。好像有些微的差别，有区分不开……
