Yes, but I know not every school has such requirement, and, how could they find out if there is a career gap?

By checking 人事档案？It's impossible, say, I don't have my current job in my personal profile. Only big SOE list such experience.

建议不要在这些问题上作假，有gap不是大不了的事情，假简历的性质严重多了，足以毁掉你的职业生涯。

I have a relatively long career gap, if I am being candid on this issue, whether you admit it or not, chances of admission would be much lower, even if I explain it in a meaningful way.

Could I talk with HR guy of my previous company, and ask him to take care of this issue for me?

1/3 of post graduation experience. thou it will be 1/4 by the time I entered.

I am just curious about whether they would do background research and how would they do it?

I don't really think it's a big matter, although it does relate with moral issue. The thing is, if you admit this gap, it would definitely affect application result. I could give them a good explanation, but it is just too long, and close to current experience, they might just suggest me to take one more year in this job, that's what I don't want.

You should write true working experiences and time on your resume and explain the gap in optional essay or draft an email to admission. Since my gap is half of a year,no school ever asked explanation about this during the interview.

My career gap account for 1/3 of current total experience, which is over a year.
