虽然不知道它的意思是什么，这道题我还是解了B。

理由如下：

1、初读句子发现，读不懂，逗号前面简直就不像句子（其实是不知道number among 的意思）但是，我发现了逗号后面的东东，是一个名词+分词式的东东，知道这一定是在补充修前面的这个wasp。所以料想谓语动词一定在前面，ETS不会出一个没有谓语动词的题出来，所以后面不管如何变化都只能是作为一部分，不能宣宾夺主和主句谓语动词相冲突，于是着手解题。

2、A，读下来，初识意思，但是they找不到对象，杀

B、读下来挺顺的,但后面有个almost entirely，似乎是意思重复了，放一边；

C、which means， 这种结构中which一般是用来指代前面整个句子，白勇说：必错！

D、如上；

E、3个问题，society的修饰语用that is；it 没办法指代society；consists of决定了与主句平行。

3、回视，比较：确认CD可以排除，再确认A错误；再重点比较BE，最后确定B，虽然almost entirely刺眼，也得选。

4、做完了，还是不明白何意，：（
