yes. from BW forum, most people interviewed has GMAT between 690 and 730

maybe young applicants with high score are popular
but "mature" applicants with high score are not the case

从GMATCLUB上转过来的,一个印度人,貌似

Losing faith....too drastic a reaction I think, and most probably temporary

But all in all, I thought I had a good profile:

Manager in Risk Analytics for Citigroup (3.5 yrs now)
Associate Consultant with Kanbay (2+ yrs)
Online journalist with numerous articles on Net (Google search will reveal)
Have covered Auto Expo 2008 in New Delhi where Nano was launched
Social work - Tsunami relief, flood relief, some other activities - Bharat Sevashram, company CSR
Entepreneurship - Partner in content management firm
Extra Currics - Quite a good quizzer and debater. Also a science fiction writer looking for publsihers.
Competent bodybuilder (max bench press 400 pounds )
Krav Maga (Israeli martial art) practitioner and trainer
Member of high-IQ societies Mensa, Triple Nine, ISPE
X, XII - 92.4%, 91.5% - best all round student in West Bengal (2000)
College president, BE (IT) CGPA 8.34

And I was especially happy with my Wharton essays.

i'm young, and i have high scores, but i got rejected.

i think essay plays the most critical role. if a person can't turn a great profile into a great essay package from the adcom's perspective, he/she is doomed to fail.

totally agree with LS.
It's like a marketing process. You should not only define your selling points and deliver them effectively to your clients(ad-com), but must know what the clients' needs are__how they will value your selling points and whether your selling points can meet their needs.
And now, I believe that this marketing ability finally differentiate us.
So just learn from all the setbacks and failures, and then move on``````

Every school tells that applicants should be themselves! But just being yourself is far from enough!
