NYU的申请人，Essay 2 怎么写啊？有啥好建议交流一下

What is your personal experience with the Stern community? Tell us what actions you have taken to learn about us.

我能想到的无非是网上能看到的，information session里面的，当时跟alumni聊过的，后面也没有跟进，身边也没有NYU出来的认识的可以去套近乎一下。
怎么才能写的出彩呢？头疼阿。。。大家交流一下吧

I am not applying to Stern (but considered it and read the essay questions before).  Stern has this essay for 1 reason: it wants to see whether you are treating Stern as your #1 choice.  They do not want someone who is applying to Stern as a back up to Wharton, Booth, CBS, and Sloan.  Therefore they created this essay to see the initiative you've taken to show that Stern is the school you really want to go.  You want to talk about campus visit, taking a class there, speaking with alumni/current students (how their opinions enhanced your impression of the school, some of the classes they took/guest speakers they remember and liked), your understanding of Stern's professors (talk about Roubini, Damodaran, etc)/quality of some of their programs (like entrepreneurship center, top notch finance faculty), heard something positive about Stern in the news, your love for Stern's location (it is located in a really nice part of NY- better than Columbia, Wharton, and Chicago).

Thanks Word.  I just try to input my 2 cents.  I should say I know the finance schools and the East Coast pretty well.  Maybe we can open a MBA consulting service company when we end up in the same school ;-)
