ABC很好排除，如何区分DE？来看800分大神RON的解释：
"remains thus" would [size=14.0084px]possibly be fine. it sounds a bit stilted and archaic, but i've certainly seen that kind of construction before.
however, it's also quite possible that the gmat will deride that sort of construction as wordy / awkward / unclear (especially "unclear"; the gmat requires a [size=14.0084px]very high standard of precision in SC sentences).
so, the jury is out until we see evidence one way or the other on an official problem.


"in this way" would NOT be fine, because no "way" has been described. in fact, no adverb is present at all to be properly parallel to "in this way" (an adverbial construction); diamond is most certainly not a "way" of doing anything.

并且D选项，Remain本身就已经有保持状态的含义了，就算in this way正确，remain和in this way的含义也重复了吧

尽管热和压力被去除也会保持这种状态，表示热和压力已经去掉了（之后），宝石依旧是宝石，但是文章中并没有提到热已经去掉还是没有去掉。热的状态或者压力已经不存在了。
remain thus even when the heat and pressure are removed
即使当热和压力被去除时也是如此，这个就是条件了，此时即使热和压力没有去掉，也是OK的，当时当去掉的也不影响。显然比上面更合理一些。比如在有些地方自然形成的情况下，可能一直是保持热的状态。
