women are expected to be the majority of student entering law school this fall, a trend ultimately placing more women in leadership position in politics and business.原句错

改为
the majority of student entering law school this fall are expected to be women, a trend that will ultimately place more women in leadership position in politics and business.

women are expected to be the majority of student
                            entering
law school this fall

women are expected to be the majority of student
       entering
law school this fall

20. GWD26-Q20

In 1981 children in the United States spent an average

of slightly less than two and a half hours a week doing

household chore s; by 1997 they had spent nearly six hours a week.

A.      chores; by 1997 they had spent nearly six hours

a week

B.      chores; by 1997 that figure had grown to nearly

six hours a week

C.      chores, whereas nearly six hours a week were

spent in 1997

D.      chores, compared with a figure of nearly six hours a week in 1997

E.       chores, that figure growing to nearly six hours a week in 1997

答案a

women are expected to be the majority of student
       entering
law school this fall

1,women are expected to be the majority of student entering law school this fall, a trend ultimately placing more women in leadership position in politics and business.原句错

the majority of student entering law school this fall are expected to be women, a trend that will ultimately place more women in leadership position in politics and business.

1,中a trend对应了women,不当;并且placing表示伴随,修饰a trend,其后并没有其他动词,如果就算要用placing,也应该是be placing.

2,中
the majority of student entering law school this fall为一整体事件,与a trend对应,that后面跟clause而非phrase,这里用了that will ultimately是正确的
