[原创]Death Knight Preview
The Death Knight will be a hero class available in the upcoming expansion World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. We’ve collected all of the information we can find, including our personal experience at BlizzCon, to bring you this preview. Keep your eye out on this page, the information here is liable to change at any time and we’ll constantly be updating this page to reflect that. Background & Overview The Death Knight will buy wow gold be one of the Paladins corrupted by the scourge who decide after their training to become to a Death Knight that it isn’t for them and will defect back to either the Alliance or the Horde. Any race can become a Death Knight, changing some of the lore (in that Death Knights are Paladins corrupted by the scourge). The class will be unlocked after a player completes a quest line at level 80 that is similar to the Warlock quest line for their epic mount (in so much that it’ll be obtainable by everyone, you won’t need to raid or massive amounts of time in one sitting to get it). Once unlocked the player can create a new Death Knight that will start at a decently high level (like 45,60,70). It will have enough gear to be viable at that level. The Death Knight will be a hybrid spellcaster/melee that fits the tank/dps role. The Death Knight won’t use styles, rage, combos, energy, or even mana. Instead he uses combination of melee attacks (with 2-handed blade weapons) combined with rune magic (and runes as a resource, see cheap wow gold below) to defeat any enemies in his way. They will not be more powerful then other classes. Not deliberately, at least. Worries about balance of course are always prominent, but the original idea of hero classes being more powerful has been dropped. They should be different and unique, but not exactly more powerful. Equipment Death Knights will use 2-handed bladed weapons along with dual wielding 1-handed weapons in combat. They will not use shields (although its unknown if that option is even available) but instead tank with just their weapons. This will lead to them being a class that may be able to switch between the DPS and tank role very fast. It’s unknown if Death Knights can only use special weapons designed for their class (runeblades) or if any weapon can be embedded with runes. It’s most then likely the later with the Death Knight only weapons looking more ghastly then normal weapons. The Death Knight will, of course, wear plate armor. Rune Magic There are three types of runes: blood, frost, and Unholy. Before battle the Death Knight can embed a combination of any six of these runes into his weapon. The various spells and abilities that the Death Knight uses will consume a various number of runes, meaning that the Death Knight is limited to whatever spells and abilities that he has the resources for. Runes will regenerate over time, although wow gold there appears to be some abilities that will refresh them faster in combat. Example Spells: Army of the Dead: Appears to summon brainless undead that will attack any hostile targets near their vicinity. Not controllable by the Death Knight. Unholy Embrace: “Target is embraced by a silhouette of darkness for 6 seconds, corrupting any healing spells and effects cast upon or currently affecting the target to cause damage for 50% of their healing potential instead of restoring health. Any damage shields cast upon or currently affecting the target will also be instantly consumed, dealing 50% of their absorption potential in damage. Once afflicted with Unholy Embrace, the target cannot be afflicted with Unholy Embrace again for 1 minute.” Appears to have a five minute cooldown. Constant rumors lead to the Death Knight having an offensive aura ability like the Paladin’s defensive aura. Alexi Barov and Baron Rivendare both have offensive auras. |
