本科成绩在申名校MBA中的分量

请教一些各位高人，本人有5年很不错的工作经历，有很不错的专业认证，但硬伤是大学成绩，很不好。如果申请北美名校MBA有希望么？有没有类似的申请成功的先例，谢谢！

Undergraduate GPA and GMAT are rulers to measure your ability to handle MBA curriculum.  The longer your experience is, the less they matter.  GPA and GMAT matter a lot for people who have experience of 3 years or less.  For those with 5+ years of experience I don't think it matters that much.

在GPA這單項上,可以跟GPA 3.0的人打平嗎?

I don't know what pool you fall into.  I don't know the typical GPAs of Chinese universities.  2.35 at a US university is considered very low.  If you look at schools like Wharton and columbia the 80% distribution is pretty much 3.0-3.8 or 3.0-3.7.  2.35 puts you at bottom 5 or 10% for M7...  2.35 won't automatically disqualify you but it's an eye sore.  It's same as scoring less than 650 on the GMAT.  You will have to make this up with strong accomplishments at work AND high GMAT.

International students' gpa is not included when school calculates their average GPA.

But it is important to show how well you did among your peers. In this case, your 2.5 gpa might be pretty good if the average in your school is 2.3 and the best students get 2.53. Most adcom from top school knows how to analyze transcript from various countries and institutions. They might even ask students to help evaluate a transcript, so don't be surprised if another Chinese students was called tol help adcom evaluate your transcript. The bottum line, your transcript will be put in competition with all the other Chinese (or international) applicants with similar schools. The method to which it is evaluated will be fair to all.

Is it any reason that the adcom has a different view on GPA and GMAT? For most of school, it is totally OK if you take the GMAT twice and get a 570 and 730. They can forget the GMAT with 570 without any reason.

However, although you get a good GPA in a university in USA now, they still care my low gpa in the 5-7 years ago.They think that I am not serious enough? Poor time mangement? Or other important reasons?

I think that it is really important to me to figure out the adcom's concern in order to explain the low GPA well.

Do you mean that most of the universities do not include the GPA of International students in their avergae GPA?
