答案是B， 可是我觉得 “which gave consumers relatively inexpensive houses and furniture"是在refer to  systematic clearing of forests, 而不是farmland

我觉得b的逻辑不通，我更倾向于D， 更加简洁明了

个人感觉也是D。

关于B，先不说not only but also用得叫一别扭，那which引导的定语从句修饰farmland从语义上也说不通啊。

而且我从D里找不出错误。

个人认为B是对的，如果抛开对原文意思的鉴定的话。B中的not only首先是一个倒装句，而后的but also后面其实省略了did the sys clearing of forest. 所以B在语法上是没有问题的。但是D吧， but also 出现的太雷人了吧？没有not only哪儿来的but also啊？ 而且我感觉D才是改变愿意的选项。不知道分析的对不对，请指教。
