"When people succeed, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success." Do you agree or disagree with the quotation above? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your position.

There are some people who support that people who succeed are all because of their hard work, but others prefer to believe that people who succeed are the results of their lucks. In my opinion, hard work is the most important part for their success, but the luck also plays an important role. In the following discussion, I would like to reason and provide evidence to support my viewpoint.
History witnesses and presents many examples. Many inventions and discovery are invented by lucky mistakes and lucky chances. Columbus, who discovered new world, is a good example for this statement. He wanted to find India at first, and he thought that he was finding India until he died . And this discovery changed the history. Although without years of studying ,calculating and his arduous sailing, he were not able to be successful.
The second example I want to point out is that Marie Curie had discovered Po. She found this by accident. But without her research for it day and night, the luck would not fall off for her. It cost her half of her life for studying chemical elements. But her success is obvious: the elements she discovered are now applied for the medicine. Don’t you think these examples quoted above are very persuasive?
But the luck will not fell off for the people who are not prepared for receiving. The people who want to success by only luck are impossible to be successful. Some businessmen want to earn money perilously. They break the law in order to get money as soon as possible. They think they will not be caught because of they have the luck. At the end, they can not escape from the law.
To sum up, without hard work, luck was nothing. Hard work only deserves pity and regret. When it comes to success, hard work and luck are hand in hand.
谢谢指教!~
