People always argued about "when people succeed, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success." I am disagreeing with this quotation because I think luck plays an important role of people's success. My specific reasons and examples are going as follows.

    

Firstly, hard work is an important part of success. We know when we want to be success; we must work very hard to achieve our goal. For example, when we want to pass an exam, we must study our textbook from line to line, and do all the homework carefully and on time, and then we could probably pass that exam. That's a normal theory that almost every one knows. While you want to be success, you must pay your hard work and time for that.

    

In addition, luck could bring people a different life. There are many realistic stories happened in our life of that. For example, while we are applying for the job that we really want, there is another people who have the same good skills as you have also apply for it, so who will have that job will depends on luck. Therefore, those two people will have the total different life after that. That is an obverse character of luck.

    

Lastly, other people's help will help you to success without hard work. I know it is not happen always, but that is the fact of our life. There are some people beside us who were success by their family or friends' support, actually they did not paid lots of hard work, just some of luck, some of others help, and some of their wisdom. So we could not say luck has nothing to do with success.

    

In conclusion, although hard work is very important for success, luck is also important to brought people a total different life.

我很久都没写作文了，一直不知道如何下笔，但3月18号马上就要到了，被逼得没有退路了，所以才写了这篇作文，请求高手帮我看看，我没有套用模版，不是不愿意，而是不知道如何用，所以就自己写了。

我觉得你的作文可能得不到4.5.


(1)第二段好象不能用于论证你的观点,我觉得放在第四段比较好,不过是用于转折,来说明Luck 也有作用.可以用However, I do not deny that hard work is an important factor for success, .. .....


(2)论点是不是可以改为 Play a role in success, not an important role, 因为你的论据不是很充分说明这个问题.

我的作文总是４分，但平时练习的时候老师给我５分的，可能是因为平时练习的时候我查字典了，今天没有，今天我是在写字板上写的，很像考试的时候的水平，不知道为什么一到考试的时候我的作文就很差．


另外，如果是这个题目，我该套哪个模板比较合适？

你的作文用词过于复杂，应该适当的简化长句做到表达清楚。We know when we want to be success; we must work very hard to achieve our goal. For example, when we want to pass an exam, we must study our textbook from line to line, and do all the homework carefully and on time, and then we could probably pass that exam.用词过于单调，适当的使用连接词可以减少这种情况。句子的使用不符合北美的习惯there is another people who have the same good skills as you have also apply for it, so who will have that job will depends on luck.这句话如果翻译成中文可以理解，但是如果改成英文会造成理解上的困难如偏差。一句as u全部都搞清楚了，你也不向prof为了搞清楚称谓二大费周章吧。尽量做到用最少的词和最符合北美语言习惯的方式来清除表达你的意思。


There are many realistic stories happened in our life of that. For example, 中间没有解释清楚就出现了FE句，很难看明白到底这一段是想立论还是想进一步说明..


尾段过于简短，如果能对前面的3个观点进行归纳应该是作文必需的吧！你可以看看College S的那本书，教大学写作的，比较好。我上次考了，虽然别的成绩不行，但是作文还算是不错，6分，就是按照平时写的，我今年已经HRM(人力资源)3年级了，平时写东西比较多，所以感觉既然TOEFL是为了上undergraduate做评估，那大学的写作方式自然应该是比较好的一种提高方式...一点个人理解，希望可以帮忙。


看了你的作文感觉有点生搬硬套，我不建议使用魔板，或者适当的加入自己的东西，例如你可以把你所有的立论和解释放到前面2句，使文章更具条理性，你既然要上UBC应该知道LPI吧..好好的练习以下吧！祝你申请UBC成功，有申请上的问题可以发短消息给我，相信能对你有点帮助。

非常感谢你,晕头转向!!!几句话就道出了我作文的问题,可见你真的很厉害. 我的写作差已经不是1,2天的问题了,但我却要在短短6天之内提高到4.5分,好惨~~


每天要听听力,做语法,背单词,做阅读,还要看范文,我~~ 我都不知道该重点攻哪一科了,越到考试时间,我就越紧张.今天在图书馆的时候, 看到自己做的语法才拿了24/40, 哭啊~~ 人家都说中国人的语法最强,怎么到我这里就这么差呢,而且什么都不懂,作题全凭语感,读着哪个对,就选哪个,一点语法的概念都没有. 还有6天就考试了,我还这样,出图书馆的时候我真想象"别了,温哥华" 里的杨夕似的出一场不大不小的车祸,可以在家里好好休息一段时间,而不用去面对考试带给我的无形压力,也不用去听妈妈整天在耳边唠叨的:" 人家22岁都已经大学毕业了,你还没进大学,好丢人" 之类的话... 真的好想逃避~~


哎,这些话我只可以在这里和你们这些不认识的朋友们唠叨一下, 平时我才不会让身边的朋友知道我心里的压力,及不开心...


不提了,我去做题了,今天又要很晚才睡~~ 希望现在的付出能对6天后的考试有所帮助! 谢谢各位不认识的朋友们的支持,我真的很感动~~
