答案是c，为什么D不可以啊。   在GMAT的sc中，是定于从句由于独立主格，还是独立主格由于定语从句？

这里就是修饰profits，用定从应该更清晰些

独立主格一般放在句首或句尾作状语，表示伴随原因、条件、状态等
        

¶        一般独立主格(n.＋n./-ed/-ing/介词短语/adj短语)与主句形成松散的逻辑关系
            

¶        with型独立主格(with n.+ -ed/-ing/adj/介词短语)与主句形成紧密的逻辑关系
            

¶        each型独立主格(复数名词结尾,each+介词短语/adj短语/-ed/-ing)强调句尾名词

不要忘了独立主格结构是修饰主句的谓语的，起状语的作用

D、E两个选项都出现了时间状语从句主语省略，省略成立的前提是：fall的逻辑主语是increase. 显然不合逻辑，fall的主语应该是profit。

而C选项通过which（指向profit）引导的非限定定语从句很好的解决了这个问题，fall的逻辑主语是which，即profit。

我觉的which指代的是前面整个句子（公司成本削减措施的结果在公司利润上是显著的），这提高了.....而不是利润提高了，with表伴随，没有这种逻辑上的因果关系

不过og的解释是which指代 profits，我要晕了

profits本身是可以increase/decrease/rise/fall的，相反依照你的逻辑用被动，那么谁是increase的发出者呢？公司？ 人？ a company increase/decrease sth/ sb increase/decrease sth,这个表述方法不是更晕么？
