on-campus is Clairmont campus, if you can afford it, it's the best...I lived there as undergrad.
There's a shuttle service going from Clairmont campus to main campus.  

A lot of Chinese students lives in the apartment complex across the street from there.  It's abt 10minute walk to the shuttle stop~

照你的经验，第一学期想离学校住近一点walk distance又不贵选哪个比较好啊。

Welcome. 住宿贷款每年政策都可能不一样，现在还不清楚，晚一些会将学校附近几个比较popular的complex和校内住宿情况贴出来。不过贷款的具体过程我们2011的中国学生可能都不太清楚，都没有贷过。

to wenwliu mm，你说的Clairmont 可是Clairmont Reserve？看了下，房租确实算是周边较贵的哈。咱们中国人一般都住哪里呢？

我看到租房的网站上校外的房子很便宜，也有离学校比较近的。如果能合租，就更划算了。至于clairmont，对于我来说有些贵了。至少1年级时是住不起的。
再问前辈们一个弱智问题：我看到opus上我的钱已经到账了。可是明明汇了1100，怎么现在显示是1085？？难道我还要再汇15过去吗？还有，为什么balance上显示是-1085？我的账户里有这么多钱不是应该是个正数吗？负数代表什么？？

Emory on campus housing:

1. Campus Crossings
or
2. Clairmont Campus

The school will have official notice about which one will be open for graduate students this year.

Pros: both are furnished and including utilities. Clairmont Campus has great location -- 2 min walk to frequent shuttles, 10 min shuttle to school

Cons: more expensive than off-campus housing, usually around $700/room or 1200-1400/1 BR; Campus Crossings is around 20 min shuttle from school, services and suttle bus frequency are of concern

Off-campus housing:

(Most popular ones)
1. Post Biarcliff
2. Clairmont Reserve
3. Highland Lake

Most Asian students are living in 2 and 3, and US students in1. 1 is a little more expensive and farther than 2 and 3, but dynamic community and has good property services. 2 and 3 are across to Clairmont Campus -- takes 5 min walk to the most convenient shuttles. Average rent for a 1 BR is $700 and 2 BR $1100

Pros: relatively cheaper and 2 and 3 have good locations

Cons: unfurnished but won't cost a lot to set up as you can get plenty of second-hand furniture on craig's list and the school conference Classified
