Darden is a general management school and this is Darden's self-positioning. I am not quite sure about your question. If you are not a career switcher, it would be more easy for you to get a job in the same industry. The point is that you need to convince the recrutier why MBA.
The career development center in Darden is really good. They will push you to go ahead of competition. There are several career consultants in CDC and each of them worked in top firms before. You will also be assigned a second year career coach who land a job in the industry that you are interested in and they will help you for everything you should know. Consulting club is also a very good resource - they have regular case interview workshops and they will also invite consulting firms to join those workshops. All the consulting firms recruite here on grounds but it's very competitive to get in any of them. It's your advantage that you have consulting experience pre-MBA but that a lot of others also have stunning resumes. |
