关于B：
1、as adj. as可加可不加，加是为了强调在哪一方面的比较，不加是因为通过上下文，大家都明白是在比较什么。


2、as much annually as有歧义。因为有两种读法：
a、相当于as much as，比较的方面是数量多少：much；这种读法中，annually只是随便放到这里的句子状语，不是as。。。as比较结构的一部分。
b、相当于as annually as，比较的方面是频率：annually，much是作为副词修饰annually。举个简单的例子：he runs much faster than her。比较的是faster，much只是修饰faster的副词。


3、分析一下这个比较的两套主谓是否完整：

第一套：主语是the total amount of pollutant  emitted annually by vehicles at O’Hare International Airport ，谓语是is，

第二套主语没有，谓语是is emitted。

所以错。应该补出第二个主语。

这道题D还原：the total amount of pollutant (emitted annually by vehicles at O’Hare International Airport) is twice the total amount (emitted by all motor vehicles in the Chicago metropolitan area) 清晰!

个人认为还是先看句子意思，原句的意思是总的污染在O 这个地方是所有汽车在C 所排放的2倍。
根据这个意思，可以直接干掉BE， 因为all是不能省的，省略了句子的意思也就变了。
比A C D，我的方法就是哪一句 最直接简单就选他了。因此我选D, 句子简单没有歧义

我觉得B的另一个问题是annually和前文的annually有重复

B最大的错误是比较对象不对等：the total amount of pollutant emitted annually by vehicles at O’Hare International Airport is twice as much as 。。。。。。。
题目中红色部分是做定语修饰amount，B中比较部门变成了is emitted by.........从而修饰amount的部分变成了句子中的宾语，所以错。

关于 as adj. as 中adj. 的修饰问题，我很同意。
但是 我现在比较纠结在第二个as后面应该跟什么的问题。

我有两个句子：
1. Experts estimate that ten times as much petroleum exists in such sources as tar sands, heavy oil , and perhaps even shale as in conventional reservoirs.
2. Prior to 1980 another species of insect pollinated the Asian palm trees, but not as efficiently as the species of weevil that was introduced in 1980.

我现在对as... as 的用法真的很糊涂呀。

B多了一个is，造成as后是一个run-on sentence   D加上了all更清晰而且和原句相符
