B最大的错误是比较对象不对等：the total amount of pollutant emitted annually by vehicles at O’Hare International Airport is twice as much as 。。。。。。。

题目中红色部分是做定语修饰amount，B中比较部门变成了is emitted by.........从而修饰amount的部分变成了句子中的宾语，所以错。

年排污量的比较，the amount emitted by v at O is twice that(指代前面的the amount) emitted by v in C

B中“is”，主语比较，此处没有引起歧义的可能，无需补出谓语。还有前后对称啊，...emitted annually by...

我认为as much as对等的应该是名词，所以B选项应该为：

 the total amount of pollutant emitted annually by vehicles at O’Hare International Airport is twice as much annually as  the total amount of pollutant emitted by the motor vehicles in the Chicago metropolitan area.

此外，annually重复了
