只看A/B，A的what后的are逻辑上对应work（单数），应该是错误的。B中is我认为是正确的，而describes表示客观事实，用一般现在时也不能算错。所以我认为B应该是正确答案。

这个句子的主语怎么会是tiles呢？难道tiles are called aperiodic tiles?句子没有意义啊。


work到底是单数还是复数。首先，我认为是单数，那么从意思上讲是work被称作aperiodic tiles，而what指代的应该是单数名词work，what之后就应该是单数is。


但是为什么答案是A呢？

what are/is 的取决在于后面名词是单数还是复数。这里后面的名词是aperiodic    tiles是复数，所以选are。尽管这里多了个called，但我想这并不影响这种主谓一致的规则。what实际就是aperiodic    tiles而不是指work.

哈哈，惭愧啊。一直将on the geometry错误理解为in the geometric domain，而且，每次都没有发现这个愚蠢的固定思维。而且，现在想来，即便如此，what指代the work也不对，至少也应该用that或which来指代。谢谢诸位了。
