但是我觉得如果less当名词看的话,那么than one percent of the $541 billion算什么成分呢?


我觉得是不是应该是 less than one percent of the $541 billion整个做名词短语跟在amount to 后面,而less than 在这里只是个形容词?因为我实在觉得把这里的less解释成名词很想不通.....请大牛们帮帮忙.....谢谢了.

我不是nn哈，不过刚才翻了一下oxford，


当less做（u）n时，意思是：smaller amount，quantity，time.


eg:         in less than an hour


                                     sell it for less than $15


                                                     i want less of this and more of that


我想less后面的一串应该是做less的]定语吧, 不知道对不对, 请赐教

我觉得amount to中的TO 是介词，所以后面应该接名词， LESS可做名词，而LOWER不行。


至于意思， 如， There are more cars in USA than those in China.                OG里的 LESS    = 此处的more cars     


比较既可以比行容词，也可比名词。

less作名词时，意为“较少的数目”；后面的than one percent of the $541 billion应该是修饰它的定语吧！
