NYU or Insead?

有两个offer,如果想回国发展，哪个更好？

我在制药公司作研发，是不是这样的背景应该选insead，然后去consulting比较合适？而NYU是不是比较偏finance,对于我这样的背景转行去做finance 在这样的大环境下合适吗？敬请赐教！

I would suggest INSEAD if you want to work outside US.

显然是NYU

看起来INSEAD校友多，就业不错，但是就业多年后会发觉美国和欧洲的MBA是不同的(我知道有朋友今年拒了lbs去了NYU)

尤其要去PE/VC更得选NYU

当然纯粹想做咨询的，可以考虑INSEAD

我去过一次NYU,觉得气氛不是很好，总感觉学校太小，我个人不喜欢这种面积小的学校

当然，nyu的地理优势是很好的，方面networking以及找工作

想回国的话，推荐INSEAD， 没相关背景在现在的金融环境下转FINANCE不是太现实。 INsead 在国内的影响力也相当好

美国圈子和欧洲圈子不同，很少有交集

NYU和wharton,columbia交融很容易，换成insead就只能找lbs的吹牛了

还是看行业的，做咨询，insead好，别的几乎所有工作，都是NYU好

INSEAD actually has closer relationship with Wharton than Stern does.

1. Wharton and INSEAD have exchange programs for both students and professors.

2. Even in the U.S., occassionally, Wharton socials even invite INSEADers.

关键不是有多少校友,而是你要去做啥......在那个领域里有多少校友

for VC and PE in the U.S., the chances for Stern full time MBA graduates is minimal, if any. 

It usually requires M7, or even HSW at least.

One reason you do see some Stern Alum in VC and PE is because those people were part time program alum, they worked for GS, MS, or ML, and went to B school at the same time (Stern offers the best part time MBA education in New York City). They had already had the connections for IB, then PE or VC. For an international student, such situation almost does not exist.

If those people chose to go to full time, they clearly had good chance of getting into a better school, say Booth.
