这句话勉强理解成so...that...也没有任何意义。

因为 so...that... that后面是要跟一个 clause的，要有完整的主谓不能随便省略一个动词carry的宾语。但是如果是as..as的比较结构的话就可以省略。

而且even和so 二个adv放在一起修饰much, 别提有多awkward了
