题目是讲: 原先的设计是将重心放在金属中心处, 而现在是将其放在边缘.
首先, 我认为这里没有转折的关系, 所以A, B, D的but转折不成立.
再来看A: the weight of the discus (used in track ....), but not it is ..., 此处it指weight of the discus, 与后面的 is lined with lead around the perimeter不匹配, 应该是由discus is lined with lead around the perimeter.
B问题同A.
E我认为是be designed having its weight... 用法不对.
查了朗文词典,一般的用法是:
design something to do something
be designed for somebody/something
be designed as something

不会呀 一个是定语修饰n. 一个是句子的谓语 E错是缺少第二个可以和前文was对比表时态的助动词is（此时is不应该省）

另外 偶觉得AB的主要是it的指代有歧义 不像C的its那么清楚
