153.       平行  逻辑含义  代词指代

 

For centuries, people on sea voyages washed their clothes by placing the dirty laundry in a strong cloth bag, then toss it overboard, and let the ship drag the bag for hours.

A. then toss it overboard, and let

B. then toss them overboard, and they let

C. tossing it overboard, and letting

D. tossing them overboard, and let

E. tossing it overboard, and let

 

平行：C里的：by placing, tossing, and letting 平行。

三个动词平行：by doing, doing, and doing

后面两个doing前省略了介词 by。

另外：后面的tossing, and letting 是否是
            分词伴随结构，修饰主句主语呢？

从句子结构形式上看，开始我也疑惑是否是
            分词修饰伴随结构，

但从句子逻辑含义看，placing, tossing, and letting 三个动作是前后连贯的，因此tossing, and letting 不能单独独立出来伴随修饰主句主语people，那样逻辑含义就不对了。

E里面：and let 和前面主句的谓语动词构成了平行，成了

people washed their clothes and let the ship drag the bag for hours.

导致逻辑含义错误，因为句子本意只有一个意思：people 如何washed colthes

同理：A,B,D 和E的错误都类似。

 

几个错误选项的代词指代错误，我用黄色标出了，很容易看出，就不一一说明了。
