有关which指代的问题？

以上是一个正确的句子， 我想问的是 which 可不可以就近修饰 cedar??   这里是which跳过about 和 with 两个介词短语修饰 canoe。  请问 which能修饰介词短语中的名词吗？  还有就是 it， they 等代词能修饰 介词短语中的 名词吗？？

P：  还有个问题：  ...........,and its/ they/ their.../...............     考虑，and 后面的代词时 是先看 是否指代前面一句中的主语， 如果不是 再就近指代前面的名词吗？？？

又或者说是全都按照逻辑判断？？
