没有见到这道题的讨论帖，不知道是不是这题太弱了。。

不明白为什么选D不选A呢？？appear to be 和claim to be不是固定的么？

比如同样这套里面的第10题，就是用的appear to be的结构：

Researchers in Germany have unearthed 400,000-year-old wooden spears from what it appears was an ancient lakeshore hunting ground as stunning evidence of human ancestors who systematically hunted big game much earlier than believed.

就是选的D， appears to be an ancient lakeshore hunting ground, stunning evidence that human ancestors

这个题key point在修饰和比较：

A： the length of which is that of a handheld computer，数码摄像机的长度就是便携计算机的长度。这种说法是错的。应该是，A长度像B长度那么长。

第二个问题，and it weighs另开了一个句子，明显改变了原句的意思，it被指代成了company，而不是digital camcorder。

D：what it claims 是主语从句，is是谓语。which合理的修饰了digital camcorder，as long as 合理的进行了类比，and weighs使逻辑意思合理。

不能仅凭claim to be 这种固定用法来解剖题。

A中后面的it指代不明，前面有两个比较的物品。

lz你举的例子是不同的，仔细看下面那个正确答案，appear to be前面没有it的，其实也就是what作from的宾语同时也作appear to be的主语。

你给的这题has unveiled后面是宾语从句省略了that，what it claims作主语，相当于the thing that the electronics company claims。
