1,Unlike the owl, bats cannot see very well,
                 but they do have____
(c) hearing very well
(D) very good hearing

Ans,D

2,lupiter (is) a gaseous planet (with) an atmosphere composed (most) of hydrogen (and) helium.

4,a bar code (consists a) pottern of( lines and) bars( that) a
                     computer can translate into (information)
         是 consists of 吗?

好像consists a错了,应该把a改成the

5,(the the flowering) of Africar American talent (in) literature, music, and (art) in the
1920`s in New Yourk city became (to know) as the Harlem Renaissance.

6, The Great Potato Famine (in) Ireland in the 1840`s (caused) an unprecedented (numbers) of people from Ireland to immigrate (to) the United States.

7,the globe artichoke was known as( a )delicacy at least 2500 (years ago),
and (records of) its cultivation date (from fifteenth) century.

from the fifteenth,加定冠词

8, humans do not constitute (the only) species endowed (with) intelligence:the                     (higher)     animals also have (considerably) problem-solving abilities.

2,lupiter (is) a gaseous planet (with) an atmosphere composed (mostly) of hydrogen (and) helium.

the sentence should be read as :        lupiter is a gaseous planet with an atmosphere (which is) composed mostly of hydrogen and helium.

mostly/adv modifies composed/verb

4,a bar code (consists     of a) pottern of( lines and) bars( that) a
                     computer can translate into (information)
         是 consists of 吗?

像consists a错了,应该把a改成the

A bar code consists of a pattern    of lines and bars that....

5,(the the flowering) of Africar American talent (in) literature, music, and (art) in the
1920`s in New Yourk city became (to be    known) as the Harlem Renaissance.

well, the subject is "flowering", so, the flowering should be known as ....( passive.)
