         答案是E，我觉得E中virtually修饰存在歧义，可修饰remained和unchanged，这个不如A好，在时态的角度考虑，为什么前面用过去时态，后面用完成时态？
我觉得declined    steadily    是一个过程，用完成时态好。请教大家

这里把deline 理解成一个过程是可以的，问题是：A中前面用现在完成时态，表示延续动到现在的动作。后面却用过去时态，表示动作已经结束。而前面的时间又发生在后面的之前。逻辑上说不通呀。其实这题的关键在与：during 表示的时态是一个模糊的概念，不像since 铁定用完成态。关于during 我特别查过longman, 其中的例句说明during 加一段时间即可以跟完成态，也可以跟一般态。所以我认为这里把deline 理解成已结束的动作和延续动作都可以。如果没有后面半句限制，我个人也比较倾向用have done 的形式。
