这道题答案B, C中解释说不应该用伴随结构,而应该用and thus来连接两个存在因果关系的句子,这里现在分词不是可以表示伴随结果么?应该也可以表示因果关系吧?还是说只能放在句尾才能表示因果,放在句中只能表示伴随动作?有点晕菜了......

语法笔迹解释的不太好。

这里 我是这样想的， 如果不加thus, 只是这样的结构 automatically informing the operator of the location and phone number of the caller应该是没问题的，这样不表达结果的含义。

但是加了thus,比表达结果的含义的话，之前最好是一个完整的主谓结构的句子,而不是仍在 一个名词之后

比较两种结构：

A do B, thus doing...

A, thus doing...，do B

第一种合理，第二种不合理（还没有发生动作，就强调一个结果）

where后面的那个they会不会指代不明呀，可以是lines呀，就近有复数名词呀

并且最好用through which 吧

觉得不是指代不明，where就是through lines,they再指lines逻辑不太通

从逻辑上入手可以看出，明明两个并列的递进成分，却把一个改成修饰成分，不合理
