但我觉得c有问题，因为 broadening和feigning平行，所以用and连接。那么broadening the flesh behind its head the way a cobra does and feigning repeated strikes和hissing and rearing back间算平行吗？是否要用and 连结？？？？

还有答案c用的是  ,+and 而不是 and???

还有答案c为啥在but 后没省略it????

不是很肯定為什麼不用"and", 等NN來回答.
在這句裏, and之前有comma沒comma都可.
it沒省是因為主語被隔太遠...OG/Prep都有類似的用法...

不是NN 我讲下自己的看法 感觉不是区分特别大 and eventually

it has no dangerous fangs and no venom, and eventually(if its pursuer is not cowed by the performance)will fall over and play dead.

加了逗号清楚些吧 前2个n用and并列 后2个动词用and并列  中间一个and eventually连接has和 will fall有and thus的意思 否则不用and 都用,不是更好地连接动词吗

it has no dangerous fangs and no venom and eventually will fall over and play dead.

个人看法：
1、
broadening the flesh behind its head the way a cobra does and feigning repeated strikes  这里的and，是为了 把为了把 feigning repeated strikes和 cobra,隔开。

如果写成这样 broadening the flesh behind its head the way a cobra does，feigning repeated strikes，会产生 feigning....修饰 cobra的歧义。

2.
第二个 but it has no dangerous fangs and no venom, and 这里 and之前 加 逗号， 是为了 突出 but 是一个插入的复句---没错这里的but就是理解为插入的。

你把  , but  it has no dangerous fangs and no venom, 去掉会发觉 其实是 hognose snake puts..... and ,if .....， will 的结构。

如果不在 and之前加 逗号。 but就和 and 连用 了，都成为句子主干，构成 Unidiomatic的表达形式 but.... and....

3.B唯一的不好在于 把 插入 部分 , but ....  , 去掉， 句子构成 run-on
