想弱弱地问,那么while用在这里到底有错没有？总觉得就算while在这里当although(尽管）讲也逻辑意思上不恰当，因为it proved unable to handle the business是发生在这之后的事情，用but表转折比较合适...
如果用while(“尽管”),就变成“经过几年的快速成长，这家医疗公司成为了市区内最大的医疗机构之一，尽管这之后它被证明不能应对业务上的增长...”
请拍砖...

its 指代有歧义呀，离its最近可是the increase in business, 但这里想指的是the company 嘛

这里其实和but这个一样 and和but都是连词 逗号+but/and后面应该跟一个完整的句子 然而这两个题简直就是给我晴天霹雳 颠覆我几个月以来一贯的认识

终于找到知音了，我也一直沉迷于此观点，and，but当连词用，而且还加逗号的时候，到底是跟完整句子还是何以省略
我只能总结出一下经验：
如果只出现and，没有逗号，那么必定不能跟句子
例如：She picked up the kitten and put it in the box.
       She said that ... and that...(no commer)
但是如果and和逗号同时出现，主语相同时可以省略的，例如本题，和你举例的题

我在曼哈顿上找到说明，说逗号+and必须补主语，否则错；没有提到主语相同省略的情况
