UTA-Arlington accounting Offer

I received an offer from UTA (The University of Texas at Arlington)
accounting PHD program. That's the only offer I have up to now.  Anyone
have any ideas on this program? Thanks.

if you have this concern, why would you apply for UTA in the beginning?

其实utarlington很好啊，环境应该很好，也可以不是特别艰难的拿到phd，4-5年以后出来找工作的时候正是最缺accoutning phd的时候。。。congrats!!

UTArlington是不是排名差一些啊？好像我查的是200+?

If I were you I would apply next year. I don't know the ranking of this school, but if it is truly 200+ then it's not worth doing a PhD there. You will probably end up in a teaching school after graduation.

To me, a PhD in a Bschool ranked within 100, if he/she works really hard and has strong publications there are still chances for a good placement. But in a 200+ school you are really losing the edge.

Of course, if you want to get in first and apply to better schools later on, that's a different story.
