still a ray of hope... any others received the same email? Dear XX, Good day everyone. I am writing Round Three applicants whose files are still being reviewed by the Admissions Committee and will not have a decision by close of business tomorrow, March 18, 2009. Receipt of this email indicates that your file is still being reviewed by the Admissions Committee. I want to be clear that this delay in reviewing your file WILL NOT have a negative impact on your decision. As Director of Admissions, Financial Aid and Inclusion, my commitment to each candidate is a thorough, fair and equal review of each application. My team has been working tirelessly to review as many applications as possible without compromising our commitment to each applicant. As such, we still have files to review and will review them over the next several days. Once your file has been reviewed we will update your status via your on-line account. The status will change to one of two options—“Call/Hold for interview’ or “Deny”. Should you be identified with “Call/Hold for Interview”, then your Johnson School Admissions Account will have vital information on how to reach us directly to set up your interview date, time, and location. Once your interview is completed, a decision will most likely be made on your application within 5-7 business days. If your decision is “Deny”, then the application process is concluded. We appreciate your interest in the Johnson School and your patience as we work through this process. I am available to answer any questions in regard to this situation. You can reach me by replying directly to this email or by calling either of the numbers below. Sincerely yours,
