ya, this year is quite difficult for all applicants. some indian applicants posted a message on businessweek forum doubting the diversity of darden... i am so wondering if this is also the case for Chinese applicants...

I have checked everything-
i have found 4 ppl from India on BW forum who have been admitted
sarora, mba4sure_india, s13, joker
none of them were truly indian (indians not living in US) or normal case of first time application.
I haven't found even a single person till now, who has applied for the first time and is an Indian living in India, who has been admitted. All of them are rejected/waitlisted.
I think the diversity funda of Darden has gone for a real toss.
Anyone refuting this?

No one can confirm or deny anything you are saying. It's all based off self-reported statistics you found on the internet. Sorry to issue decrees from an ivory tower, but, man....let it go.

Its not about me actually. I already have two admits. Waiting for some more results.
Darden did not send an interview invite even to one person from India (who lives in India and is applying for first time).
Last year 731 ppl applied from India and 69 joined Darden.
I assume at least 500 of them were first time applicants living in India itself (and not US).
Assuming similar number of applicants had applied this year, R1 applicants from India must have been around 200.
I can bet no one can question their profile and competency to the extent that none of them was eligible for interview call let alone admission.
I understand Darden has collected money from 200 number of applications and and is behaving in a biased way to them.
Darden has lost credibility in international market.
1. I guess they dont have funds for internationals. But how can they assume that every applicant needs a loan for their studies?
2. The whole talk about diversity at Darden is crap.
How can a top college like Darden behave in such an irresponsible manner. They had sent their brochure to me twice. I drove 30 kms. to attend an infosession. Why all this Drama? They should simply said 'No admissions for Indians'. But that would have hurt their reputation. But have they escaped? No. What they have done this year will not escape intelligent people's eyes and Darden's adcom's ugly underbelly will be shown in all the forums.
