January 15, 2009 -- Twenty two CEIBS MBA 2007 and MBA 2008 students were invited to dine with school President Professor Zhu Xiaoming and the school's deans today. The evening began with MBA Operations Director Yvonne Li officially introducing each student to Prof Zhu and the deans, followed by MBA Academic Director Prof Lydia Price's summary of the achievements of 2008 and future plans.
The evening was also an opportunity for the MBA students to learn a lot more about CEIBS history, courtesy of Prof Zhu. While displaying his excellent calligraphy skills as a gift for the MBA department and the deans, the school president also offered valuable advice to the students. He urged them to continue the school's focus on corporate social responsibility, and to remain humble while moving up the corporate ladder.

Prof Zhu, who is also Director of China Service Outsourcing Research Centre, has long emphasised the importance of making CEIBS a breeding ground for top calibre consultants with the ability to initiate outsourcing services for the corporate world. During this evening's dinner, Prof Zhu stressed the growing importance of the outsourcing industry; and highlighted some of the steps taken to co-operate with CEIBS alumni within the sector.
Prof Zhu's published mathematical models -- which were shared by his secretary -- were also a source of fascination for the students, who noted that the models offered a range of solutions to the present financial crisis.
The evening came to a close with school officials wishing attendees happiness and prosperity in 2009, and a commitment to take CEIBS to even greater heights.
