有时候GMAT啊,背景啊,essay啊,还真没有狗屎运重要。
G反复考考,直到750+,然后英文作文吹的NB一点,狗屎运说不定就来了。

谨记~

I don't believe there's too much diff between 680 and 750 if you're really strong in background

and bullshitting NB on essay is no good, if there's no soul it. And will fail easily during interview.

But luck is really important, too many applicants. Adcom sometimes just pick up some one by random

H ans W are both looking for leadership and continuous excellence in academic and profession.
The so called 70% difference does not make too much sense because you can't pretend to be another 70% different person for the two packages.

my sense about GMAT is that above 780 is a demonstration that you are really excellent on this test. 770-700 is mostly decided by luck because GMAT is a highly turbulent & unscientific test.

I think you misunderstand TuGou's words. High gmat is always a plus - we have lots of candidates with excellent background. Although not perfectly designed, Gmat is a standardized test which is a relatively object way to reflect your academic capability. BS is also discouraged however it is good to think through the inherent logic within your essays and have the wording polished.

Here at Wharton every applicant's package will be reviewed and decision for either interview or final offer is not based on random selection.

There are many ways to interpret leadership and cultures of HBS and Wharton are definitely not the same.

I agree that candidate cannot and shouldnot pretend - however people may have many traits and how you present them does matter.
