    OG对A的解释如下：Although an "-ing" verb such as trying can sometimes be used as a noun, the phrase the organism's trying to metabolize in A is unidiomatic because trying is used as the object of organism's.

    我本来的理解是，语意上该用名词的时候，选项中有名词和动名词，肯定用名词。但是OG似乎不是这么认为，我不是很明白：为什么OG说因为trying是organism's的宾语，所以trying就是unidiomatic呢？？？

宾语一般由名词来充当，而既然try有名词形式，那么用trying就不合适了，我这样认为的。
