Applying for Accounting PHD.. Do I have a chance?

Hi, everyone:

    I am considering to pursue a PHD degree in accounting field. I am currently studying Master of Accounting in a not very famous school in the States. I got 3.9/4.0 for master's GPA. But my under GPA is below 3.0. My undergraduate majors are accounting and finance. So, I dont have much stats and maths experiences.
 
    I work as an Research Assistant for an associate professor. I helped him to do some research. I haven't got any paper published. In our accounting department, there are several full accounting professors. I believe I can get several full professors' reference letters.

    I will retake my GMAT.

    I know the information is limited. Would you please help me? Do you think I am good to apply to the Accounting PHD?

at least u should give a try, if those full professor'd like to write a good RL for u.

there are also some opptunities in Euro school

Hi, thank you very much for your reply.

I think I can get the reference letter from full professors. I can't control how good they will be.

For those accounting PHD in the States, how hard to apply? I know some programs have only 10 canadiates total, and some admit 10+ each year.

ask ur acct professor's opinion, don't just ask one guy. 

make ur portfolio as diversify as possible. apply as many as possible if u don't care the location
