答案选D。我自己理解是 “the Virtual Leonardo Project,......, encouranges visitors...... and thereby activate....." 但是如果主语是VL Project, 那后面的动词应该是activates而不是activate 啊，为什么答案选D？？有谁帮忙解答一下？谢谢！

activate应该是跟touch平行的 encourage visitors to touch.....and thereby (to) activate

因为有thereby, 所以句意蛮清楚的，可以不用把to写出来

activate应该是跟touch平行的 encourage visitors to touch.....and thereby (to) activate
