但是，白勇有云：

定语从句关联词的固定搭配

1）phenomenon in which

2）the period when

3）a time when

4）at a time when

5）the year that
     

6）the way in which

7）the way + 句子

8）the way to do

9）an age in which

10）the next time + 句子

为什么the year that就是固定搭配呢？that和when一个是关系代词，一个是关系副词，各有各的用法啊：

（1）1932 is the year that changed the world.

（2）1932 is the year when I was born.

the year + that; a year when

因为用the，而前面又没有提到过year，所以只能在定语从句里面对之加以说明，所以用that

而用a，说明只是第一次提到，定语从句也不对其进行说明，其在定语从句里面也只是做状语，所以用when.

用when也可以起到说明作用啊

umm...我错了...在语法书上我找到一句话:2001 is the year when we enter the twenty-first century.说明白勇总结得不一定对...google上也有不少the year when的用法...

请问这道题的c 为什么用了with 就会从并列变成主从了呢，如果后面both and 没错的话，是不是也对呢？

请问：如果将后面的BOTH AND 改对 HAD BEGUN 改成BEGAN  是不是就对了 WITH 独立主格做状语  同时发生

可是解释上说，WITH 改了逻辑关系 将并列分句改成了主从成分  啥意思？谢谢！

with是一個非常flexible的東西, 就因為它太flexible, 所以常常會有歧異, 結果常常都是錯的選項.  可是不代表看到with就是錯.  如果別的選項錯得更嚴重才考慮with的選項.
沒看過解釋, 那來的?
Anyway, with不能引導從句, 所以不可能會有主從的說法.
