Choice D, like A, fails to provide a noun or pronoun to perform the action of living, but even with its the phrases would be more awkward and less clear than it lives. C, which uses because and it as the singular subject of a clause, is the best choice.

我的疑惑不言而喻，OG15中说their是累赘，而到了OG48，加了its反而变清晰了，这是为什么？

OG只是说A和D这种表达方式没有说明动作的发出者，并没有说这两个选项里添加了its就会正确，OG说了加了也笨拙，不清楚，正因为on account of 和because of无法表达动作的逻辑主语，所以这两个结构不好。
