这道题的解释，关于when的解释我不太懂，作状语从句要求合理的修饰对象是什么意思。而且在B选项中如果把when置于that之后，说不通啊。
还有在正确选项E中，“combined with her talent for writing” 是状语还是插入语啊？后面的made在这里应该是谓语动词，直接前面的"this vantage point"相连，对不对？我有点晕了。

我不太理解prep笔记中对于B选项的解释，为什么when引导的状语从句要置于that后面呢？

那样句子就变成了a vantage point that ,when combined with her talent for writing, made......

是不是因为that指代a vantage point ，在定于从句中充当主语，when状语从句应该置于主语that (a vantage point)和谓语made之间？

请高人指点。

关于B选项，when作定语要有修饰先行词（即时间）；而此处是作状语从句，状语从句一般表示时间，状态，地点。。。这里要看这个when带的状语从句打算修饰那个句子（主句还是that引导的定从），毫无疑问，他应该是后面的that定从所带的状语，所以应该放在that后面
